The Department of History’s faculty members are teacher-scholars who are equally committed to education and to research. We cover all regions of the world from ancient times from the present. Thematically, our interests range from politics, business, and military affairs to society, popular culture, and minorities. The courses we teach are designed to deepen our students’ understanding of these subjects and to sharpen their communication and analytical skills, which are in demand among employers and graduate programs.
