Course offerings and rotations are scheduled in order to accommodate students whose work, family, or financial obligations limit the hours when they can attend or the number of courses they can take each term. All classes meet once weekly, in the early evening.

The Graduate Program in History offers eight courses each academic year, plus occasional courses during Rutgers Summer Sessions. Three courses per term constitute a full-time load. Students may choose to attend part-time. Applicants with prior graduate coursework in history may request a transcript evaluation for transfer credit. With the director’s approval, graduate students may take courses in other Rutgers–Camden’s MA programs and in the Rutgers Camden Law School to fulfill degree requirements.  Admission and degree requirements can be found using the links below.  Information about ongoing events, current students, and alumni can be found on our blog.
