Thank you for serving as a judge for the NJ History Day competition at Rutgers-Camden! We ask that you please arrive at 8:00 am the day of the competition. Below, please find information about where to report to, parking, and meals.

When they arrive on campus, judges should come to South ABC, a suite of rooms in the lower level of the Campus Center, which opens onto the main campus quad. Breakfast will be waiting for them, and they will receive an overview of their assignments.
The Campus Center’s location may be viewed here: https://www.camden.rutgers.edu/pdf/CampusMap.pdf.
For judges, free parking has been reserved in Lot C14, located at the corner of Pearl Street and N 3rd Street.
For driving directions to campus please visit: https://www.camden.rutgers.edu/visit/driving-directions. Follow them to Cooper Street; once on Cooper Street turn right onto N 3rd Street. Roughly 300 yards down N 3rd Street, turn left into Lot C14.
Here are walking directions from Lot C14 to the Campus Center, 326 Penn Street:
- Turn right out of the parking lot to walk south on N 3rd
- Walk just over a block. At the second crosswalk, turn left (through the two short brick pillars).
- Walk about 100 feet, and look for the statue of Walt Whitman on your right. The entrance to the Campus Center is right behind him.
In the unlikely event that judges are unable to find a spot in Lot C14, they are also welcome to park in Lots C1 and C3, or in the Camden Technology Center Parking Garage (designated on the map as “Camden County Parking Deck”). If they park in the garage, they should take a ticket as they enter the garage and bring it with them for the day. Before they leave for the day, they will need to present the ticket to the customer service staff at the parking lobby desk. They can identify themselves as guests of Rutgers and the tickets will be stamped/validated.

Rutgers University-Camden will provide a free breakfast and a free lunch for judges, both of which will be served in the judges’ “headquarters,” rooms South ABC in the Campus Center. The judges’ lunch will include vegetarian options.
The campus Starbucks and cafeteria, both in the Campus Center, will also be open.
