Gerald Verbrugghe is Associate Professor of History at Rutgers University, Camden, where he mainly teaches undergraduate courses on ancient history. He is the author of three books and numerous articles, and is currently at work on a critical edition of the fragments of the ancient Roman historians as well as on a World Wide Web data base for Greek and Roman literature. In addition, he is an editor for the forthcoming four volume Encyclopedia of Myths and Legends.
For the graduate program he teaches a course called Computer Laboratory, which introduces students to the uses of the computer in modern historical research as well as its abilities to publish historical work on the World Wide Web.
